Semaglutide
Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide 1 medication that has many effects on the body. Semaglutide delays gastric emptying, making you feel fuller and longer with less food. This medication is administered via a small injection once a week.
Our Program
Our program will always begin with a virtual or in-person consultation where we will review your medical history, weight loss goals, lifestyle changes, diet, and exercise. We will discuss blood lab work and how Semaglutde can impact those levels. The weight lost per week correlates to the prescribed dose, your beginning weight, and lifestyle.
How Much Could I Lose
With proper diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes with the addition of Semaglutide, you may experience weight loss up to 20-30% in 4 months. Your weight loss amount will depend on your beginning weight.
Virtual or In-Office Appointments
Consultation may be completed via Telemedicine or via Office Visit. Once we have decided that Semaglutide is the right method for weight loss for you, the medication with be prepared and delivered for you to use. Monthly appointments are required do discuss goals and results, as well as to assess for any symptoms or reactions.
Not For You
Semaglutide will not be prescribed to anyone who is breastfeeding or pregnant, has a personal or family history of Medullary Thyroid Cancer, a personal history of Type 1 Diabetes, and a personal history of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 2.
Cost
Consultation: $100 - Will be applied to your first month's treatment
Lab work: $200-250. If you have lab work from within the last six months, please bring those. A repeat lab work will be done every 3 months ($100).
Semaglutide: $400 / month. May vary according to dosing. This includes weekly injections for 4 weeks.
